The Community

A planned community that has aged well.

Hillsborough County approved Westchase in April 1991, and the community was laid out as a collection of villages around an 18-hole golf course, parks, and preserved wetlands. It's now one of the most established master-planned communities in the Tampa area.

The Westchase Community Association oversees deed restrictions, community pools and tennis, parks, and the shared grounds. Each village adds its own character — and sometimes its own association — from townhomes to estate homes.

Westchase Golf Club, designed by Lloyd Clifton and opened in 1992, is a public-access par-72 course that winds through wetlands at the heart of the community. West Park Village adds a walkable town center with shops and restaurants.

Villages for every stage.

Homes range from townhomes and villas to family homes on golf-course and conservation lots, with larger custom homes in some gated villages. Most were built from the early 1990s through the 2000s.

Roofs, air-conditioning systems, and pool equipment on homes of that age are often due for replacement, and that should be part of the price conversation.
